Habitat for Humanity in Visalia has been crippled by thieves. Thousands of dollars worth of power tools were stolen from the facility. The hit happened sometime between Sunday morning and Monday night. Locks were cut, a trailer was forced opened and it's shelves were emptied. The thieves also took a surveillance camera, recyclables and gas from a truck. The non-profit group builds and repairs homes for low-income families in Tulare County. 2 homes are being built and several others are being repaired. Unfortunately, all work has been put on hold because there are no tools to get the job done. Habitat for Humanity is hoping the community will help with donations and if possible come forward with information about the theft.
