The name of the woman shot and killed by Fresno police has been released.
The coroner's office has identified the woman as 48-year-old Veronica Canter.
Officers said Canter threatened them with a large kitchen knife.
It happened Friday at an apartment complex at San Bruno and 4th Street.
Canter was first hit with a taser, but didn't stop.
An officer then fired, killing her.
