Voters will head to the polls in 10 states for Super Tuesday, the largest contest so far this election season.
More than 1/3 of the delegates needed for the nomination will be up for grabs.
Right now Mitt romney and Rick Santorum are leading in the delegate count.
Some local political experts are keeping their eyes on the front runners.
Super Tuesday is critical, but could it work in President Obama's favor?
"I think them going at each other is really going to hurt them when it's just Obama vs. whoever and I think that bodes well for Obamas reelection," said Democratic Committee Chairman, Michael Evans.
"I think of the two, Romney will be the best because he's moderate," said Republican Central Committee Member, Paul Dictos.
More than 400 delegates are in play in Super Tuesday.
California's primary election is not until June.
