Madera County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting Monday morning.
At about 4:30 deputies were called out to reports of shots fired.
Deputies closed Avenue 26 while they searched the area for evidence.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
It happened on Avenue 26 between Road 19 and Fig Tree Road.
