The town of Exeter is getting back to normal after a swat standoff before noon on Wednesday.
It happened in the area of Sequoia and Kaweah Avenue.
Officers had an apartment surrounded for several hours.
Police said a man attacked his mother with a bow and arrow. They said he barricaded himself in an apartment with his girlfriend and her three children.
The standoff ended quietly, when officers escorted the man from the apartment.
The man's girlfriend and her three small children got out safely .
No one was injured.
