A Kings County man is behind bars.
He's accused of taking pornographic images of his own stepdaughter and posting them on the internet.
33-year-old Joshua Beiter is in the Kings County jail.
The child is under ten years old.
Investigators say Beiter confessed to taking pornographic pictures of his stepdaughter and posting them online.
The photos were on a website where users share pornography.
Beiter reportedly posted comments on the pictures of his stepdaughter.
"He indicated through conversations with others on the website that he intended to have sex with the minor," Karl Anderson, Chief Investigator with Kings County District Attorney's office, said.
The F.B.I. Saw the photos and the comments and alerted the Kings County District Attorney's office Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators and deputies quickly went to Beiter's house in Armona.
"We weren't going to wait a day or any amount of time because we would be devastated if we waited two days for more intelligence and found out sexual acts were conducted against the child," Anderson said.
Investigators say the photos were taken when the child's mother was gone from the house.
Neighbors we spoke with didn't want to appear on camera. But they were worried for their own children and shocked by the arrest.
"She's like surprised because we never thought that our neighbors were so 'malo,' you know, they were bad people," said a neighbor child, translating for his Spanish-speaking mother.
Residents applauded the quick action by investigators. The images were spotted and within a week a suspect was in custody.
"He got caught a few days ago and they rushed and caught him right away, tracked his IP address. Glad to see the system's working that way," said Mario Teixeira who was visiting the neighborhood where Beiter was arrested.
The girl is with her mother and family. Investigators do not believe there are any other victims.
