Car Fees Dropped from the Ballot

        A proposed ballot measure to more than double the vehicle-license fee has been shut down in Sacramento.
        Supporters have decided to drop efforts to put it on the November ballot.
        The California road repairs act would have phased in the license fee.
        It would raise over three 3 billion annually for road repairs.
