In the South Valley a cluster of dead fish is creating a buzz.
Hundreds of residents outside of Stratford say they first spotted them on Tuesday.
The dead fish are sitting, rotting in the mid-day sun.
Viewer Chango Thao was one of the first to spot the fish, posting a video.
Since then, the mass of rotting fish has grown.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife isn't sure what turned this small pond into a grave sight.
But, it says the possibilities include:
1) Pollutants and other unintended runoff
2) Low water levels that cut oxygen amounts causing fish to essentially suffocate.
3) Other naturally occurring events that can kill fish.
Workers from nearby West Lake Farms showed up to scoop out the fish.
But left after removing only one.
