Police are looking for gunmen in two separate shootings Monday afternoon.

One man is dead. And three others wounded.

Grieving family members gathered outside a home on Harvard and Marty Avenues in Northwest Fresno.

Officers were called to the neighborhood after several people reported hearing gunshots.

When they arrived, a person came out of the house and said someone inside had been shot.

"It appears there was some kind of disturbance. We do have information a vehicle was seen leaving the area," said Lt. Jon Papaleo with Fresno Police.

Witnesses said several people left the home after the shooting.
Detectives are trying to piece together who was at the house and why.

"There could be one little tiny thing that someone heard or saw that could be the thing that lets us solve this," Papaleo said.

With guns drawn, gang officers and a police K-9 searched the neighborhood near the murder scene.
The motive behind the shooting has not been released.

It is the second shooting Monday afternoon that investigators are trying to solve.

An hour earlier and six miles to the south, three men were wounded in a shooting at Holly and Lorena in Southwest Fresno.

"A black male approached in a vehicle on Reverend Chester Riggins and parked a block away and walked up to the residence and fired several founds striking the victims," Fresno Police Lt. Anthony Martinez said.

Those victims are 37 to 60 years old.

The motive isn't known yet. But the area is known for gang activity.

Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP.
