In one case, the victim – a 69-year-old woman – was locked in the trunk of a car.
Officers were called to a home near Hwy. 41 and Herndon Monday afternoon.
A family member had returned home and found the house had been ransacked. And the 69-year-old woman who lives there was missing.
Officers found her locked in the trunk of a car in the garage.
Investigators believe the home was targeted – it was not a random crime.
“Unknown males had come to the residence and asked for a specific person who lives there, by name. When that person wasn't there they forced their way in and assaulted our victim and took personal property before fleeing the area,” said Lt. Tom Rowe of the Fresno Police Department.
The suspects are described as two African-American men in their early 20s.
