In Madera County, investigators are looking for two men accused of ripping off a 101-year old man. The crime reportedly happened at a house just outside the city limits of Chowchilla, near Robertson Boulevard and Highway 152.
Investigators said the men posed as roofers in order to gain access to the elderly man's home so they could burglarize it. Some items were taken, but fortunately, the victim was not injured.
The suspects are two hispanic men in their 30's or 40's. They wore dark clothing and one had a baseball cap on.
No weapons were used.
Sheriff John Anderson tells people, "If something doesn't seem right, ask to see some identification. Better yet, tell them you're going to call their company to check up on them."
