A Parlier High School teacher is in jail.
25-year old Anthony Lepore faces charges of sexual assault involving a 16-year-old girl.
Lepore taught math and coached basketball at Parlier High School.
Police say he assaulted a 16-year-old girl Friday night.
The assault reportedly happened in Sanger, in a residential neighborhood on Swan Avenue near North Avenue.
Investigators say Lepore and the teen were together that night.
At midnight, the girl's parents called police to report her missing.
Two hours later, police say Lepore pulled up to the girl's house in Parlier with the teen in his car.
"The parents of the victim who is a minor confronted the individual that the minor was with and that resulted in an assault with a deadly weapon investigation," said Sgt. Noel Johnson with the Sanger Police Department.
Lepore is accused of assaulting the victim's parents.
They called Parlier Police who then learned about the assault.
Lepore was arrested Saturday at a home in Clovis.
Parents of Parlier High School students told us they received a phone call Monday night from the school's principal.
"It just said theres been an incident at school, the math teacher was going to be out for a while," parent Blanca Medrano said.
She has two sons who attend Parlier High.
"It's scary cuz you have all these kids in school. You don't know what they're going to get into. What to expect from the teachers," Medrano said.
Lepore is being held on 165-thousand dollars bond.
