A man is in critical condition after he was found shot around 4:15 p.m. Saturday in Central Fresno, according to Fresno police.
A man believed to be in his 20s walked into the Fosters Freeze in the shopping center at Cedar and Shields avenues.
"I was over grabbing a magazine and he came rushing in in agony, and I just thought it was a joke at first," said Mark Mendibles, an eyewitness. "And he collapsed on the ground, and we still didn't know he had been shot."
Employees then called 911.
Witnesses report hearing a gunshot before the victim collapsed.
Investigators are still not sure where the shooting occurred. They are searching for whoever is responsible for the shooting.
Anyone with information should call the Fresno Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
