A floor in the Fresno County Jail continues to be on lockdown after an inmate was hospitalized with the H1N1 virus.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff's Department, the inmate started to feel sick two days ago. He was treated at the jail but got worse. He is currently at Community Regional Medical Center and is in serious condition. Deputies believe the man contracted the virus while in custody.
And even though H1N1 is rare in Fresno County, health officials say more people are at risk of getting sick.

"It is concerning because it does impact our young adults and a different population than normal," says Joe Prado with the Fresno County Health Department.
Inmates are being checked daily and a special housing unit has been set up for inmates who have flu-like symptoms. The county is also working to administer flu vaccines to inmates and jail staff.
As a reminder, flu vaccinations in Fresno County are available at the county health department. It's located at the Fulton Mall in downtown Fresno. The cost is $6 but no one will be turned away if they can't pay.
