A sheriff's deputy who died on Christmas Eve in a tragic accident continues to be honored in Tulare County.
Thirty one year old Jeremy Meyst was killed after crashing a transport van carrying two inmates.
On Thursday, the Tulare County Board of Supervisors ordered all flags on county property to be flown at half-staff in remembrance of Meyst.
The deputy was a 2001 graduate of Mount Whitney High School in Visalia. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
