This holiday you can be the reason local hospital patients will be home with their families by giving blood at the 10th Annual Helping Parker's Pals Blood Drive and Marrow Registry.
It was started by Parker Fritsch who survived leukemia as a child with weekly blood transfusions. He and his family started the drive as a way to give back to the community.
Parker appeared on Sunrise to talk about the blood drive happening today, Monday, December 16 at the Save Mart Center from 10am-7pm. Donors will also receive
a commemorative T-shirt with Parker's art, a five pound Dubuque Holiday Ham, an award winning CCBC 2014 Calendar, and automatic entry into a drawing to win $100 gift cards to Sierra Vista Mall, plus a chance to win pairs of tickets to upcoming Save Mart Center events.
