On the eve of her funeral Valley fans pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston touched many lives especially young girls aspiring to be just like her. Kina McFadden used to sing Houston's songs while holding a hair brush, and standing in front of a mirror.

"We saw someone that looked like us in the limelight and not only did she sing beautifully but she was such a beautiful person," said McFadden.

Friday night McFadden sang a Whitney Houston song at the African American Museum event. An event paying tribute to the late singer, many people were visibly emotional as they looked at the memorabilia still not believing the superstar is gone.

She was a wonderful lady, and God bless her and her family and her daughter," said Nadine Battaglia, Houston Fan.

Fans cheered Friday as limousines carrying Houston's family left a private wake in New Jersey. But her fans in Fresno were also remembering the late singer as an icon whose voice will always live on.

"She just had one of those voices that was often said that if there was the eighth wonder of the world, it would be her voice," said Gregory Melancon, African American Museum.

CBS47 will be streaming Whitney Houston's funeral live on our website Saturday morning.
