People here in the Central Valley paused to remember John F. Kennedy.

President Kennedy died at approximately one o'clock central standard time.

"Whether it was male or female or whatever there were tears and crying and just in shock of how someone could murder one of our Presidents," said, Cynthia Dolan.
"We were actually in tears, none of us had ever an experience like that where a national tragedy affected us all," Dolan was 16 years old in photography class when she learned Kennedy had been assassinated.

JFK had gained the love of the Central Valley, making several stops before he became President. He kicked off the construction of the San Luis Reservoir.

Watch the above video Angela Greenwood has more on this story.
