A tip lead police to a chop shop in a southeast Fresno neighborhood. It happened in the area of Belmont and Fresno Street.
Officers arrived at a home to find two suspects stripping a vehicle. Police say every time they bust a chop shop, it makes a difference in the city's auto theft rate.
"But again, there's two more individuals that we found that are actually stripping cars and involved in a chop shop and this is a good find for us because every one that we find is going to bring down the rate," says Tim Tietjen from the Fresno Police Department.
Three people were taken into custody.
