Fresno firefighters were on the scene of a fire at a furniture store early Monday morning.
The fire broke out at the Ideal Furniture Store on Blackstone near Ashlan at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Fire officials say the fire started on the outside of the building on a loading dock and spread to the inside. The fire was contained to a small area in the building because the sprinkler system kicked on.
Half the furniture in the store suffered water and smoke damage.
