The Clovis City Council is updating it's general plan.
A meeting was held tonight to discuss the goals and quality of life issues for the development of
the city.
The city's general plan hasn't been updated since 1993.
Some of the issues include so-called "buffer zones" between commercial and residential areas,
and accelerating the construction of major streets.
The city is moving forward with an Environmental Impact Report.
After more comments from the public, the plans could be finalized as early as next fall.
