The Fresno State University Bulldogs are at it again. Only, they're doing things differently this year for the season opener.
It's the first time in the university's history the team will hold a "White Out" game where the players will all wear...you guessed it, white.

"We put together a very special you know white uniform. When they come down the ramp tonight it will look very much different than what it normally does," said Fresno State Senior Associate Athletic Director, Paul Ladwig.

They also encourage fans to wear white. The school said it's a way to mix things up.  Something else new to the mix is the March to Victory.  It starts on game night at 4:30.
The football team will march through Bulldog Boulevard and fans are encouraged to pack the street to cheer players on.

The players and the fans aren't the only big components to game night, we also have our very own live mascot, Victor E Bulldog.

"He really makes peoples' day. It's amazing when you're walking around with him just how people light up. Nobody can have a bad day when they've gotten a big
ol' slobbery kiss," said Kelly Weaver with Pet ER. Weaver helps take care of the mascot.

There's an upward trend in ticket sales.  Around 3,500 season tickets were purchased this year from last.  Students said there's a lot of hype on campus.
It'll be an exciting game you won't want to miss.

"Where else in Fresno are 30-plus thousand people going to be tonight? They're gonna be right here," said Ladwig.

Kickoff is at 7:30PM.  Extra parking can be found at the Save Mart Center.  They'll have a shuttle that will take you to Bulldog Stadium.
