Sara Engdahl, a spokesperson for Cemex USA said, "I think a lot of the initial concerns are understandable, but CEMEX is taking steps that we mitigate a lot of those issues. All of our operations are heavily regulated and we abide by those rules."
No exact date was set for the next hearing on the project, but it's expected to happen next month.
