Residents are excited for the grand opening of a new Walmart Supercenter in Kerman.
The new store opens this coming Wednesday, August 14th.
The new Walmart is bringing about 300 jobs to the city and 85-percent of the employees are from Kerman or nearby communities.
"Most of the people that have been hired through us have been looking for employment for the last year or so," says Emilio Baca the store manager.
The store is expected to draw shoppers from western Fresno County and is expected to generate between 65 to 70-million dollars in sales a year.
