“We would like for the Grizzlies to honor the contract and make their lease payments on a monthly basis as required by the contract. Their lease payments are $125,000 a month,” said Smith.
Aside from threatening to look for new management if the Grizzlies don't pay up, there don’t appear to be any consequences for the ball club.
“We know what we're doing. We have the long term future in mind everyday so we want to make the best decisions for the long term,” said Chris Kutz, spokesperson for the Grizzlies.
Kutz says the Grizzlies bills will get paid. A large check is coming from Chukchansi for the park naming rights and paperwork will soon be filed for a $500,000 credit.

The president of Downtown Fresno Partnership wishes more people would go to games, to help the team and the city.
“People need to come support and show they want these types of activities in their city,” said Kate Borders of Downtown Fresno Partnership.
The Grizzlies are back at home beginning next Friday, August 16th. There are nine home games left this season.
