Doctor Tajiri an optometrist for more than 50-years will be helping many people see for the very first time.

"To help the kids see the blackboard and see the world around them, it's very gratifying," said Dr. Tajiri.

Since 2006, local doctors, dentists, nurses and pharmacists have been on a mission, and that mission is to help people in small villages throughout Asia with medical needs. Needs that would otherwise go un-met. Dr. Ho is a dentist, and he says some of the patients have suffered with a tooth ache for year yet they're still very happy with what little they have. Something he says is a learning experience every time he goes on these missions.

"They have needs, they have physical needs, and that's why we're there but they are comfortable with what they have and that makes me understand that it's not always about money, or resources, it's about enjoying what you do have and making the best of it," said Dr. Ho.

This year the group will be traveling to small villages in Thailand for two weeks. The cost is close to 80,000 dollars, money that's raised by having fundraisers and grants. Dr. Chin says it's an eye opening experience.

"I've been blessed with certain types of talents and I want to share that and go across where we can offer our services," said Dr. Chin, Plastic Surgeon.

The group of 25 people will leave February 17th.
