When Jackie Martella walked out her front door Tuesday morning, she was greeted by a team of volunteers...armed with sunscreen ice cold water and tools.
“You have to be very hydrated orelse we might get sick or ill,” said Daniel Pak.
They call themselves world changers...
Kids are on a spiritual mission to fix homes in impoverished neighborhoods.
“We help people and we spread the word of jesus and God,” said Jonas Koh.
In Clovis for the tenth summer.
“This week we have 163 students from all over the country,” said the Mission Leader Landry Vaught
The Clovis Redevelopment Agency helps them select homes in need.
“We do a mass mail out and take in applications in,” said Orlando Ramirez with the City of Clovis Redevelopment Agency.
Martella was one of 15 winning applicants...and her spiritual team couldn't be happier to meet and serve.
“They're really friendly to you and you get to know them very well in the end and it's a really good experience,” said a volunteer.
