Fresno came another day closer to the record streak of 21 days in a row with triple-digit highs after reaching 100-degrees on Monday.

For the past 19 days Fresno's high temperature has reached 100-degrees or higher.
According to the National Weather Service that long stretch tied 2012's hot streak of 19 days in triple-digit territory.

The NWS says that Fresno's longest consecutive run of 100-degrees or higher is 21 days set in the very hot summer of 2005.

Thankfully, cooler air will move into Central California Tuesday and Wednesday dropping highs to 98 and 99-degrees respectively.

The 90s won't last long however.

High pressure air will quickly move back over the area boosting highs back into the triple digits through the end of the Pinpoint 7 Day Forecast.
