The Central Sierra Historical Museum has completed a project that was years in the making.
The Redinger Exhibit is a fully operational hydroelectric plant that was donated to the museum.
Museum volunteer Doug Koerper said, "This was built in 1904. It was a few years after the first power plants, multiphase generators, in the United States. This is probably the only power plant in the world that is at a museum, historical unit that operates."
Volunteers donated countless hours to the completion of the project.
The plant was just dedicated and is now open for tours and demonstrations to the public.
