Fresno's State's Quarterback Club met Wednesday night, hours after Tim DeRuyter was announced head coach. The group raises money for the football team.
It started off with 1,000 members but membership has dwindled to just over 200.
Boosters hope DeRuyter brings tickets sales and more support with him. "If Bulldogs perform the same way, with the same energy as he had at the press conference today. I think well have standing room only at Bulldog Stadium," said Randy Dhindsa, a Fresno State Quarterback Club member.
The Quarterback Club is always looking for new members. Beginning in January it will meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at the World Sports Café in River Park Shopping Center at 5:30 p.m.
