The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash after a car clipped a big rig on the Highway 99 Wednesday night.
Witnesses say they saw two cars racing down Highway 99 in fowler and when one tried to pass on the shoulder, it triggered the accident.
Derek Saldana with the California Highway Patrol said, "One of the reckless vehicles had tried to pass on the right, right hand shoulder. It struck a Ford Fusion which caused the Ford Fusion to go to the left and strike a tractor trailer."
All of the vehicles stopped and there were only minor injuries.
Both drivers that were allegedly racing said they were just in a hurry to get home.
The crash is still under investigation.
