Two teenage girls hid in a closet while a man ransacked their home. The suspect fled the scene when he opened the door and saw the teens.
It happened Tuesday near Piedra Rd and Princeton Avenue northeast of Sanger.
The two 14-year-old girls were alone in a home when they spotted the man walking up their driveway.
The man broke into the home and started ransacking it while the girls hid in a closet.
Deputy Chris Curtice with the Fresno County Sheriff's Department said, "He then opened the closet door, saw the two girls and that startled all three of them. He ran out of the residence, the two girls ran out of the residence to a friends house and called the sheriff's office again. They also saw a dark colored vehicle leave the scene with another person in it. They think it might be related... we're not positive."
The suspect is described as an Hispanic man in his twenties wearing camouflage-colored clothing.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Fresno County Sheriff's Department or call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
