Workers with Fresno's solid waste division were at El Torito in downtown Fresno Tuesday night to support one another.  They were keeping a positive attitiude that the votes will fall their way.  Emilio Aldana, a garbage truck driver for the last 12½ years, sat nervously at his table. "Hopefully it will swing our way. I think we do a great job for the city of fresno."  City councilman Oliver Baines was on hand.  The District 3 representative has opposed outsourcing trash service from the beginning.  He was encourged by this group's effort to get this issue moved to a public vote.  "Because there are very few are very few things that impact every single person and this is one of them, so we should have the people weigh in."  If voters say yes to Measure G… Aldana's options are to take a job with private hauler, Mid-Valley disposal… find work elsewhere… or go on unemployment.  Right now, he leans toward the mid-valley job. "I still have a family to feed, so gladly i'll take it. something is better than nothing."
