A Fresno woman was stabbed by her boyfriend following an argument early Thursday morning.
Fresno police were called out several times during the night to the apartment near Fruit and Ashlan for reports of a young couple fighting.
Around 4:00 a.m. police returned after the man got angry and stabbed the woman.
The man was taken into custody and the woman was transported to the hospital.
Sgt. Steve Crawford with the Fresno Police Department said, "At this point it's going to be considered a domestic violence incident, to include the stabbing. And unfortunately, there were small children inside the house, and so we're going to investigate the child endangerment issue as well."
The man was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
No names have been released.
