Myster Holliman, the head track coach at Fresno Christian High School, will attempt to skateboard across the United States.
On Wednesday, Holliman said, "Tonight I will leave for Seattle and on the 1st, I'll begin a trek from Seattle down to San Diego and then eastward to Miami, in hopes to break the world record for the longest distance traveled by skateboard."
The current record, set in 2008, is just over 7,555 miles. Halliman's route will take him 7,600 miles and he says it will take him 8 months to complete.
Holliman drove to Seattle, Washington Wednesday night and will begin his journey on Saturday, June 1st.
