On this Memorial Day weekend volunteers are busy at cemeteries around the area making sure that veterans are honored.
At Belmont Memorial Gardens and Temple Beth Israel Cemetery volunteers placed flags at the graves of veterans.
"We think it's very important to honor those people who served in the military, and myself served in the military and we'd like to keep that in our minds, that these people who served our country should be honored," Peter Nagel said.
Volunteers started early in the morning to make sure each veteran's grave was decorated for Memorial Day.
