Family and friends gathered Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fresno to remember the local nurses killed in the devastating Bay Area limo fire.

It's been a week and a half since that limo burst into flames on its way to a festive wedding celebration.

CBS 47's Lemor Abrams has more from the memorial services.

Prayers for Neriza Fojas and Michelle Estrera, two Fresno nurses  killed when their party limo burst into flames on the San Mateo Bridge.

"This one is for the people to come and join the voice of prayer," said Nancy Hoff, President Nurses Association of Central California.

Neriza's new husband, set to have a second wedding in the Philippines next month, sat up front.

He stayed close to Michelle's husband and 8-year old son .

"They were just kind giving young ladies always caring about employees, families," said Funeral Director Michael Rabara.

The women were on their way to celebrate Neriza's recent wedding with seven more friends in the limo.

Firefighters found five bodies in the back.

Coworkers from CommunityRegionalMedicalCenter consoled one other.

They say the tragedy has shaken their entire department and Philippine community.

The Philippine Nurses Association of Central California offered the services to the community as a reminder they're all coping together.

"I know how they feel and they are very sensitive to their need for privacy. We let them know we want to do this for them," said Hoff.
