A young Valley pilot is hoping to set a world record.
20-year-old Jack Wiegand of Fresno is trying to become youngest person to fly solo around the world.
Jack left Fresno Thursday morning and will cross three oceans and 14 different countries.
Jack sat down with CBS47 on Wednesday before starting his journey. "For a trip like this, there's so much preparation that goes into it. You know, it's getting handlers set up in every country, it's getting landing permits for different countries, it's getting flyover permits for different countries..."
