Gang Members arrested with guns

Three gang members are taken off the streets in Merced.

Friday officers arrived at an apartment on the 3100 block of Meadow Avenue and found three men inside the apartment. After interviewing Souphilavong Xayarath, he admitted to possessing a 9mm handgun. Officers also spoke with Phonephilom Phrasavth and Danny Souphilavong who were also inside the apartment. A search of the apartment resulted in finding a Tech 9 submachine gun.

All three of men are documented gang members and/or associates. All three were arrested and booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Department Correctional Facility.
