A pair of Black Hawk helicopters arrived at Fresno State on Wednesday as part of a training exercise, preparing young cadets for major military operations.
50 cadets trained with the National Guard helicopters, just like those used in the raid against Osama bin Ladin.
Military science professor LT. Col. Lorenzo Rios said, "It was unfortunate to see what happened in Boston but this training is in no way connected with that type of event."
The military uses the stealthy machines for combat and preventing terrorist attacks and this is an opportunity to test cadets' leadership. "...developing to be agile to their approach to leadership and be creative at problem solving."
The cadets graduate next month.
The National Guard is planning to bring this exercise back to Fresno State next year.
