The Island Waterpark held a job fair on Tuesday and estimates 1500 applicants showed up for the 300 plus openings.
Amber Watson with the Island Waterpark said, "To get this kind of crowd before, you'd have to spend lots of money... run radio ads, commercial ads. Now it just kind of spreads like wildfire and we've got a fantastic turnout.
The park opens next month and stays open through Labor Day.
