A Salvation Army in the North Valley is figuring out what to do with a huge donation.
The downtown Modesto location got a check for $1.7 million from a woman who passed away back on 2010. Her friend just recently dropped off the check.
Michael Paugh with the Salvation Army says the money will help out for several years. "20 years, 30 years, 40 years from now, her gift will still be making a significant impact to this community," said Paugh.
The woman who made the donation was 96-years-old when she died.
