A lawsuit has been filed on the plan to privatize residential trash service in the City of Fresno, but the lawsuit has a twist.
The lawsuit was filed by Fresno City Manager, Mark Scott, but it was not filed on behalf of the City of Fresno.
Mark Scott filed the suit as a private citizen against those who want to stop the city from outsourcing its trash service.
Scott believes opponents of private trash service have made several false and misleading statements in their ballot arguments and his goal is to have those false statements corrected on the ballot measure to be voted on by Fresno citizens in June.
