A burglar kicked a door and was confronted by the homeowner who was then injured by the suspect.
The crime happened around 2:00 p.m. at a home in Northwest Fresno.
The suspect knocked on the door and when nobody answered, he kicked the door in and was confronted by the owner.
The suspect turned and ran to a waiting truck.
Sgt. John Jensen with the Fresno Police Department said, "The suspect grabbed a crowbar off the truck and struck the victim once in the head, causing a small laceration."
The homeowner managed to grab the crowbar from the suspect who got away in the waiting truck.
