Deadly home invasion

The search is on for at least two suspects involved in a break in that left one man dead.
It happened around 11 PM at a home on Millwood Drive near Woodlake in Tulare County.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Department said they got a call about a home invasion.  A 30-year-old man was shot and killed and the suspects fled.
Detectives also found a marijuana grow site behind the home.

Neighbors tell us they knew marijuana was being grown at the home and say it very well could be the reason they were targeted.

"I think they came over to rob him and get what marijuana they could," said neighbor, Shiela Hartman.

"You have a place. You're looking for a simpler life...this is getting a little bit too close to home," said another neighbor, Bonnie Dunkin.

Neighbors say over the past couple of years there was concern the victim, 30-year-old Raul Gonzalez was selling marijuana. It's not known if he was licensed to grow it legally.

"Bragging about how much money they had made and what a good year they'd had," said Dunkin,

The sheriff's department says the suspects cut the phone line, demanded money and then took off with an undetermined amount of marijuana.
Hartman said she was sleeping when Gonzalez's father showed up at her doorstep late Sunday evening. He asked to use her phone.

"I said what's wrong? And he says well, they broke into my house and they shot my son," said Hartman.

She said Gonzalez's father told her he heard the window break and all of a sudden someone had him and his wife at gunpoint. They were able to get away unharmed, but his son wasn't so lucky.
The sheriff's department said this is marijuana season and this is the first marijuana related violence this year.

"It's not supposed to be in residential areas and it's not supposed to be grown outside so we do have those issues that we'll have to deal with again this year," said Sergeant Chris Douglass with the Tulare County Sheriff's Department.

Detectives are looking for up to four suspects that may have been involved.
Neighbors are worried it could have been them.

"They could have very easily come to my house instead of that house," said Hartman.
