She put the clothes on his back - and now he's nominated for an Oscar. Madera native Elaine Montalvo was the costume designer for the film "A Better Life." Actor Demian Bichir was just nominated for his role as an immigrant father in the movie. CBS47 spoke with Montalvo Tuesday night about the film and Bichir's nomination. She says everyone who worked on the film is "honored and thrilled" that their efforts are represented through Bichir's nomination. She hopes a wider audience will be introduced to the film. The Oscar winners will be announced on February 26th.
