The Clovis Planning Commission listened to complaints from neighbors about noise from an indoor shooting range but did not make a decision.

The meeting lasted nearly 7-hours but when it was over, the decision was made to give the owners of The Firing Line another 6 months to work it out.

The shooting range is located in an industrial park in Clovis and they say it is zoned for the business and that the noise is within acceptable levels.

Neighbors disagree, saying they can hear gunshots all day long and want the shooting range to close, move, or install better soundproofing.

Vong Mouranoutua with the Clovis Planning Commission said, "I think people spoke their mind and that's what we want. We want to hear what's inside the hearts and the minds of everybody."

The proposed 6-month extension still needs approval by the Clovis City Council.
