An accidental shooting in Merced
According to the Merced Sheriff Department the teenager was a passenger in a vehicle when another person in the car accidentally shot him.
The injuries were discovered after a Deputy pulled over the vehicle for driving erratically in Planada.
A sawed off shotgun was found in the vehicle.
The victim’s brother, 28 year old Saul Granados, was also in the vehicle.
He was taken onto custody for possession of a sawed off shotgun, driving on a suspended license and participating in criminal street gang.
The 15 year old victim is expected to recover.
