Country Rose Antiques in Old Town Clovis was destroyed by fire early Monday morning.
The building located at 5th and Pollasky was one of the oldest buildings in Old Town Clovis, dating back to the early 1900s.
The building was completely destroyed by the blaze and will be demolished.
The business, Country Rose Antiques, was a consignment shop with multiple antique dealers having smaller shops setup within.
CBS47 spoke to a couple of those antique dealers who said their merchandise inside the store was a total loss.
Battalion Chief Jim Damico with Clovis Fire said, "It's a hundred years old and that's one of the unfortunate parts with older construction, they don't have the modern fire prevention - fire alarms and sprinklers. If this had been a sprinklered building, it probably would have kept the fire in check and it would have been a minimal fire loss."
Clovis Fire says the building loss is estimated at around a half million but the owner says their may have been four to five hundred thousand dollars in merchandise between all the different dealers in the store.
