Gang members arrested in Merced

Merced Police say Jimmy Vang from Fresno was driving with a juvenile passenger when they were pulled over on the 1200 Block of W.7^th Street in Merced.

During the stop officers say the juvenile passenger was trying to conceal a gun under his seat. The Merced Police Officers took Vang and the juvenile out of the car and searched the car.

Police say they found a loaded handgun inside the car, and when the officers went to search the trunk of the car, they found someone in it with a loaded handgun in his possession.

The three suspects were all charged with various gun charges. Vang was booked into Merced County jail and the juveniles into juvenile hall.
